Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026 (account sync added)
Nova is an AI assistant app for Android, Windows, iPhone (home-screen web app) and the web. This page explains what information Nova uses and where it goes.
What stays on your device
- Your chats and settings (theme, wallpaper, voice, custom instructions) are stored on your device. If you are logged in and “Sync with my account” is on, your chats (without photos or attached files), memory notes and answer settings are also saved in your Nova account so they appear on your other devices. You can delete chats any time in Settings → Delete all chats, or turn sync off.
- Your Google Gemini key and Pollinations key are stored only on your device. Nova never sends them to us.
- Photos you pick as a wallpaper stay on your device.
- Reminders you ask Nova to set are stored only on your device, and the notification comes from your own device. Upcoming reminders are sent to Google Gemini with your message, so Nova can tell you about them or cancel them.
- Memory: the short notes Nova keeps about you (for example your name or what you like) are stored on your device, and in your Nova account when sync is on. You can see and delete them in Settings → Memory, or turn memory off.
What is sent to other services to answer you
- Google Gemini receives your messages, the photos and files (like PDFs and text files) you attach, and your voice recordings when you tap the microphone, so it can write Nova’s answers, together with your memory notes when memory is on. When “Search the web” is on, Google may also run Google Search for your question or open links you paste, to answer with current information. This is sent using your own Gemini key, and Google handles it under Google’s Privacy Policy and the Gemini API terms. On Google’s free tier, Google may use this content to improve its products.
- Pollinations.ai receives a short description of a picture when you ask Nova to draw something, so it can create the picture.
- Supabase stores your email address and an encrypted password if you create a Nova account (in the Android app, the Windows app and the web app), so you can log in. When sync is on, it also keeps your synced chats, memory notes and answer settings in a private record that only your account can read. Your Gemini and Pollinations keys, photos, attached files, voice and wallpaper are never uploaded.
What Nova does not do
- No ads and no advertising trackers.
- No selling or sharing of your information with anyone else.
- The microphone is used only while you are recording a message, after you tap the microphone button.
Permissions
- Microphone: to record a voice message when you tap the microphone.
- Photos and files: to attach a picture or file you choose, set a wallpaper, or save a picture Nova made.
- Internet: to reach the services listed above.
Reporting an answer
Nova’s answers are written by AI and can be wrong or inappropriate. Every answer has a Report button. A report opens your own email app with the reason, your note, the question and the answer, and is only sent if you press Send. Reports go to stefputamica@gmail.com and are used only to make Nova safer.
Children
Nova is not made for children under 13.
Deleting your data
Delete your chats in Settings → Delete all chats, or uninstall the app to remove everything stored on your device. To delete a Nova account, write to the contact email shown on Nova’s Google Play page and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
